The best thing about IPL is that lot of new Indian players have got the opportunity to prove themself. They are given such a valuable opportunity which they can convert into a place in the Indian team. So it is actually a good idea.

it will defenitly help indian cricket in the longer run. even in the current edition of IPL we had many young and unknown talents come up and perform well agaisnt the big guns. the likes of Shikar Dhavan, Gony, Asnodkar etc were unknown till now have become household names. It will also add a sense of competition.
The point of the "outsiders" taking away the laurels is vaild but in the future we can have indian players performing well in IPL hopefully.

these matches don't bring out the true talent. this was an extravaganza . I personally think that only test matches brings out the true talents of players.It shouldn't have happened when inflation was at high rate.
Really pathetic.

Well, i don't completely agree to creativeMind, well  test match cannot be compared to T20, bcos of IPL many Indian batsman got internation exposore....dey wer able to face international stars....so it makes new beginning to their career ...also some good talented blaster batsman will also come to highlight for the selectors....like Yousuf  Pathan....he was awsome.....
