How can I bring quality visitors to my site?

Hi I am a web developer and have authored a few blogs and sites till date, but I am not able to bring good traffic to them? Can you guys give me some advice on the issue?

Have unique content to your blog. many people run blogs by copping content form other sites. this is not really good practice. as search engin will penalise your site with "duplicate content"
so have unique quality content for your site.
Secondly see usability of information about your site or content. if your site is useful to visitors they will own their own publisise your blog and drive large number of visitors to your site.
gather links from other related subject sites. submit your blog to directories, blog directories etc. try to get as many relvant link to your blog. vary anchor text and description while linking. this will help in boosting search engin results for targeted keywords. and high ranking is equal to high amout of traffic.
Use RSS syndication to other RSS feeds. this will gice additional link to your blog, and also if your content is useful and unique people with start visiting directly to your blog.
